Get in the Festive Season Mood in Banff

There is no shortage of things to do this weekend in Banff that will help you get in the Festive Season mood.

Saturday will be a huge day of activities, but you can start early! Start your day with a visit to the Banff Senior's Centre, located above the Banff Public Library for the Mineral Springs Hospital Auxiliary Craft & Bake Sale taking place from 10 am till 3 pm.
If you do not have time to bake this Holiday Season, be sure to purchase some of the wonderfully tasty holiday baking at this sale. You will not regret it. Too, the craft sale is great to find that little something for a stocking stuffer.

Then at 11:30 am till 3:30 pm the Bison Courtyard will be celebrating the season with "Little Chippers" ice carving stations and an outdoor fire. This is a great venue for the little ones.

Onto Cascade Plaza for 1 to 4 pm where the Town's Community Services is hosting Christmas in the Rockies. Families can make Christmas crafts, cookie decorating, face painting along with a Christmas Tree decoration competition. Entertainment will be provided by the Bow Valley Chorus. Don't forget about photos with Santa.

Santa is pretty busy this weekend, as he'll also be at the Spirit of Christmas Store from 1 to 3 pm for photos.

Then the best for last. Starting at 5:30 pm, the Parade of Lights (Santa Claus Parade) will take place on Banff Avenue, starting from Elk Street to Buffalo Street.

Enjoy the activities, lights, sights and sounds of the Festive Season this Saturday in Banff.
