Labor Day Weekend

Need a suggestion for something to do this Labor Day long weekend in Banff?

Now that we have experienced our first frost this morning with a chilly minus 2 degrees here in Banff, the weather is suppose to be great this upcoming Saturday, so grab a blanket and relax in the sunshine in Cascade Gardens. Along the way, stop by Nestor's Market and pick up some Sushi or check out Cozy Cave Bakery for some awesome cupcakes and other sweets to enjoy while relaxing in the Gardens.

The Cascade Gardens is beautiful and full of blooms currently and should not be missed.

The Gardens are located on the grounds of the Banff National Park Administration Building. If driving, parking is accessible from Mountain Avenue. Or if on foot, the first access point is at the south end of the Bow River Bridge.

Created by Harold. C. Beckett in 1934, the gardens and administration building occupy 12 acres of land. Despite there no longer being waterfalls connecting the pools of water, these gardens are a treasure of color.

The Cascade Garden grounds are open daily and admission is free. The National Parks employees are always delighted to answer any questions you might have about the flowers or the history of the gardens.

Enjoy your visit to Banff National Park this Labor Day Weekend.
