Mt. Norquay Road Closure
Please be advised that the railway crossing at the Mount Norquay exit will be closed for construction on October 11, 12 & 13, 2011.
Mount Norquay road and the CP Rail crossing will be closed to all vehicle traffic. Access from the town to the Fenlands Recreation Center, Vermillion Lakes and the Trans Canada Highway will be detoured through town to the Lake Minnewanka exit, and west along the TransCanada back to the Norquay exit.
Pedestrian traffic will still be able to use the crossing during the construction. Please be reminded the fine for crossing the track at unauthorized crossings is $270.
The Town of Banff will set up a detour to re-route traffic through town.
Parks Canada will setup Highway signage at both Town’s entrances.
Please obey all signage and detours.
