Sunshine Meadows

If you want to experience a wonderful variety of wildflowers and easy hiking trails, we'd highly recommend visiting Sunshine Meadows with White Mountain Adventures.

There is over 12 kms of maintained gravel surfaced trails in the meadows with numerous viewpoints.




You can spend a couple of hours or spend an entire day in the meadows.

Transportation is available from Banff each morning at 8:15 am.

But if you have your own transportation, you can meet at the Sunshine Village parking lot, and use the Sunshine Meadows Bus to get to the Nature Centre/Day Lodge.

Departure times from the parking lot are:

8:00 am
9:00 am
10:00 am
11:00 am
12:00 noon
1:00 pm
2:45 pm
3:45 pm
4:45 pm

Return times from the Nature Centre/Day Lodge are:

9:15 am
10:15 am
11:15 am
12:15 noon
2:30 pm
3:30 pm
4:30 pm
5:30 pm

Shuttle prices from parking lot to Nature Centre/Day Lodge with return are:

Adults $26
Children $15

Racing The Dragon August 13 & 14, 2011

Racing the Dragon is back this weekend on Lake Minnewanka.

Saturday, August 13th
9:00 am till 3:00 pm

Sunday, August 14th
9:00 am till 3:00 pm

Awards Ceremony to follow the races on Sunday.

Please note parking is at Lake Minnewanka is limited.

Transportation is available from three pick up locations in Banff:

Brewster Bus Depot at 100 Gopher Street
Mount Royal Hotel, 138 Banff Avenue
Transit Zone, Banff Aavenue & Fox Street

Departures to Lake Minnewanka are every 30 minutes starting at 8:00 am till 2:00 pm

Return times from Lake Minnewanka to the Banff Townsite are every 30 minutes starting at 8:30 am till 4:30 pm.
