New Speed Limit for Banff National Park

If you are traveling to Banff National Park this weekend or this summer, please be aware that Parks Canada has imposed speed reductions on areas of the Trans-Canada Highway.

The speed limit of 90 km per hour has been reduced to a posted speed of 70 km per hour in areas.

This change is effective immediately in areas that are deemed high-risk in order to protect wildlife that might have ventured onto the Trans-Canada.

It has been a late spring in the mountains and growth is delayed at the higher elevations, keeping the wildlife in search of food at lower elevations.

Please keep our wildlife wild by obeying the posted speed limits and highway signage.

Drive safe.

Another Happy Customer

We are delighted to have received the following letter:

Dear Mr Denouden,

Our group escort has just returned from a recent Canada/Alaska tour with Insight Tours.

During the group's stay at your Lodge last month, one of the group experienced illness. We wish to commend your Manager on Duty, who kindly transported the lady and our escort by vehicle and escorted them into the hospital. He then arranged for the bathroom to be disinfected to protect her roommate. He also assured our escort that if the guest had been unable to travel with the group that himself and staff would take good care of the lady.

It is the 8th time that our group have stayed at your Lodge and we hope that with any future tours that we may do with Insight Tours that your Lodge is chosen for accommodation in Banff.

Please accept and forward our sincere appreciation to the Manager on Duty.
